Advocacy for Humanist Principles


In this section, we will explore some of our core values and the contemporary issues that they should help to inform. In many cases, there is a significant overlap between these general subheadings because some of the principles enumerated earlier are not mutually exclusive. Therefore, issues based upon a conflict between scientific rationalism and dogmatic religion, for example, are also likely to include elements of promoting a non-theistic worldview and/or tolerance for divergent religious beliefs.
