Lesson plans and activities that encourage family interaction!

Bringing Humanism Home is a collection of flexible, family-centered lesson plans designed to help children and caregivers explore empathy, curiosity, critical thinking, community, and ethical living together.

Through simple activities, thoughtful conversations, stories, media, and hands-on learning experiences, families can weave humanist values into everyday life in meaningful and approachable ways.

The lessons are intentionally designed to be adaptable and easy to use—whether your are looking for quick discussion at the dinner table, a deeper homeschool enrichment activity, or resources for a community learning group.

Older children and teens may enjoy exploring many of the activities independently, while younger children will benefit from the guidance and shared participation of a parent, caregiver, or educator.

Brining Humanist Homes is especially valuable for:

  • secular and inclusive homeschooling families
  • parents seeking values-based learning without dogma
  • ethical educators and community groups
  • humanist and interfaith family programs
  • anyone looking to encourage compassion, reflection, and global awareness in children

Rather than following a rigid curriculum model, Bringing Humanist Home encourages shared learning, conversation, creativity, and exploration at a pace that works for your family and community.

We hope these lessons inspire meaning, connections, thoughtful questions, and joyful learning together.
