In 2014, the Supreme Court decided that invocations in the form of sectarian prayers at local legislative meetings are permitted so long as everyone can participate, “even an atheist.” The Central Florida Freethought Community (CFFC) asked every local government conducting invocations to permit humanists to participate. Since June of 2014, the CFFC has facilitated more than 50 invocations in Central Florida and one in the State House of Representatives.
